About City South Animal Hospital City South prides itself in continually improving and working toward its goal of preserving and protecting animals. City South Animal Hospital is located at 1415 Army Post Road in Des Moines, IA. We provide preventative care that will increase the longevity and quality of life for pets so that the relationship with their owners are enhanced and meaningful. The Veterinarian is Dr. Jeffry Johnson who has owned and operated City South Animal Hospital since 1980. From 1977 - 1984 he established and operated a unique, full service house call practice from a motorhome. He provided a high-quality service with equipment and facilities comparable to traditional small animal hospital at the client's residence. Although Dr. Johnson now practices out of his hospital, he still provides a mobile service where his staff will pick up and deliver your pet during certain days and hours. We offer routine care such as preventative vaccines, heartworm and fecal exams, along with feline leukemia testing for cats. Our puppy and kitten packages speak for themselves. Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory so most testing can be done immediately. This means we can get timely answers and initiate treatment promptly. Spaying, neutering, dentistry and general surgery is offered at City South Animal Hospital. DR. HOURS BY
