Wellness
Making sure that your pet is healthy and happy is our number
one goal! We provide preventative care that will increase the longevity
and quality of the life of your pets so that the relationship with
you, their owners, are enhanced and meaningful. Vaccinations, proper
diet, appropriate behavior, heartworm and parasite prevention and
dental care all are important for a healthy pet.
Heartworms are
spread by mosquitoes. Dogs should be tested yearly to make sure
they are free of the disease and kept on preventative year round.
A server case of heartworms can be fatal and is very expensive to
cure. Prevention is easy, inexpensive and effective!
Dental care
has been proven as an essential element of extending the life of
your pets and enhancing the quality of life. Dental care eliminates
infection in the mouth that gets into the blood stream and causes
liver, kidney and heart disease.
Vaccinations
make sure that your pet remains healthy throughout the year.
Surgery
Spaying, neutering, dentistry and general surgery is offered
at City South Animal Hospital. If your pet would need surgery, we
make sure that the animal is safe and experiences minimal pain.
We do pre-surgical blood work to make sure that is safe for your
pet to undergo anesthesia and monitor your pet while under anesthesia
to check it's heart rate and blood oxygen. We do most surgeries
in-house but if your pet needs special attention, we will refer
your friend to a surgeon that specializes in its particular problem.
Nearly all tests
and procedures are done in-house. We have our own X-ray and laboratory
facilities so we can get timely answers and initiate prompt treatment.
Grooming
Amy Ruble is our professional pet stylist with 5 years experience.
She will groom both dogs and cats. We think you will be pleased
with the look of your pet after being groomed by Amy. Pets being
groomed must have the required vaccinations for the protection of
all animals boarded in the hospital.
Boarding
We offer boarding for dogs and cats at our hospital. The facility
is designed so cross communication of disease and parasites are
virtually eliminated. Dogs are housed in large cozy compartments
at night and exercise in huge outdoor runs during the day, weather
permitting. Cats are housed in a separate room where they can be
exercise individually away from other disturbances. All pets must
have the required vaccinations. Clients that receive their medical
needs here for their dogs are given a free bath when the dog goes
home. Non clients are offered the bath for their dog at an additional
$15.00 charge. During their stay, they are fed premium pet food.
Pet Supplies
We have selected the most proven and cost effective products for
your pet. We also sell high quality foods.
Payment
We take all major credit cards, checks, and yes, cash! We also offer
Pulse Card, which is credit card just for Veterinarian Medicine.
Payment is expected when the service is completed.
